Sandy, I want my change back too! I have a 5 gallon water jug I use for a piggy bank. When I break a bill, I put my change immediately into the jug and rarely spend change.

Hope you don't mind if I share my personal little rant.....I remember my grandparents speaking about government rationing and recalls. People were asked to donate many items to the government for it's use in the war effort. Currently, I believe the cost to make a penny is 2 cents and many people just discard and disregard pennies. I'm sure you found many on the floors of the homes you cleaned. My theory is to spend pennies and hoard quarters. I'm waiting for the Congress to stop minting pennies and request that We The People take them out of our jars and put them back in to circulation for the good of the nation! I have not tried to put a value on this idea, but I'll bet it's cost effective. :)

Dorrie, A seller can request that the mortgage payment be deposited directly to his bank account. I suppose that in today's high tech computer world, an auto debit may be able to be deducted from the buyer's account. I haven't see anyone do it though.

Sandy, I think this is a great idea! Why does an open house have to only be on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon? The answer is...that it's doesn't! The idea is to get interested people in to see the home and if the seller is flexible/motivated they will be open to any chance to show their home.

Make some cookies and put on a movie too...we'll be right over!

Scott, You bring up a very good point. How much of the information of there today is correct? I suppose that just adds to more confusion. It's not enough to have the correct info available, but I would venture to say that there is plenty of incorrect data out there also. Ouch! Thanks for the comment!

Well Han, How do you like that!!!! You can't even find yourself on the site! I wish that was the case for me. I personally don't care to have that much information available on friends, family, etc. I think we're going over the top here. Consider yourself lucky!

The explosion on the 'net of public information, that at one time was a little harder to pull, is causing some problems. Up here, our County Clerk is redacting microfiche tapes to remove social security numbers (previously required) from stored, public documents. I believe in a reasonable expectation of privacy, but I honestly don't know what's floating around out there, in some obscure site, that may or may not be correct about me.

Hi Scott, You made some good points! I agree that qualified buyers are getting good rates on mortgages. I question whether the $7500 tax credit, which is really a "loan", is of much help. It will be quite interesting with today's turn of events with Lehmann and Merrill Lynch which way the market will be headed. Both were highly involved in real estate. It remains to be seen!
